Red, White & Blue

On me: SWIMSUIT on Me: Top: Mossimo also similar here and here, Bottom: Victoria Secret (old) similar here and here//HAT: Nordstrom Rack similar here and here//SUNGLASSES: Raybans//Earrings: Francescas (sold out) similar here and here//CAPE:Party City On my son: SWIM SHORTS: Marshalls similar here and here

Can you believe 4th of July is just around the corner? I can't believe its on Monday. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays for of some many reasons. First and foremost, I love celebrating the a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. I count my blessings everyday to be able to live freely and so thankful for the military that help serve and protect our freedom. I also love that this holiday is a great way to celebrate family and togetherness. The bbqs, pool parties, beach time, baseball games, parades, fairs, concerts are such a fun time during this time of year and my favorite part is watching the fireworks.

I wore this gorogeus bathing suit at Coronado last week to beat the heat and definitely had 4th of July on my brain. The bathing suit I'm wearing from Mossimo & Victoria Secert (see link above) is perfect for a pool party or if you are heading for the beach during the holiday. I love the crochet, white detail which is perfect for summer. I also included a one piece version here which is gorgeous and on SALE. I love that it is a timeless piece for summer and the white eyelet detail is trending everywhere this season. I also love that the bottom of the bathing suit helps cover my C-section scar which I mentioned in my my blog post here. I paired my bathing suit with my favorite turquoise earrings by Francescas which is currently sold out but I linked similar options above. I also had to wear my favorite "Do Not Disturb" hat which is becoming my favorite hat to wear all summer since it goes with so many things. Check out other ways I style this hat here. My son is wearing the flag swim shorts from Marshalls which is perfect for this festive holiday. I also wore my bathing suit with the flag cape from Party City which I think everyone needs. Who doesn't like a cape, especially with the American Flag on it?

I hope you enjoy your 4th of July holiday celebrating with your family and friends. Be safe and I would love to know what your plans are for the 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Fun at the San Diego County Fair

On Me: OVERALLS: Hollister (old) similar here and here  // OFF THE SHOULDER TOP: Mossimo (old) similar here and here // BANDANA: Target ($1 bin) similar here// SHOES: Adidas //SUNGLASSES: Raybans// CARDINALS HAT: Footlocker

On My Son: T-SHIRT: Superman similar here and currently BOGO 50%//FLAG SWIM SHORTS: Marshalls similar here //SPIDER MAN SHOES: Stride Rite

Are you looking for the perfect outfit to wear this summer? Overalls are such a great option to wear this season. I love that overalls are making a come back and they bring back so many memories of my childhood.  I love that they are so comfortable and easy to throw on. This was the perfect look to wear to the San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fair) this year and I got so many compliments on my look especially the bandana I paired it with. Can you believe I found this bandana at the $1 bin at Target? I knew I had to pick it up the moment I saw it. I love that it instantly dresses up any look. I wore an off the shoulder white top for a boho chic look. Because it was a hot & sunny day, I wanted to cover my face and grabbed my favorite Cardinals hat. My youngest was born in AZ and it will always have a special place in my heart. I know my AZ fans will appreciate it too. The maroon color also complimented my look.  I finished the look with my favorite shoes which are also a blast from the past. I love that these Adidas superstars are so comfy and chic to wear.

This year's theme for the fair was Alice & Wonderland and it couldn't be more perfect. I love the whimsical details of everything at the Fair especially the flower garden. I'm all about themes and dressing alike with my kids. Since I have boys, its very challenging at times. I wanted to go with a 4th of July theme because the fair always runs around the summer time and being at the fair reminds of all the good times associated with this holiday. My son is wearing a red superman tee from Target and the striped shorts are from Marshalls. I'm always about bargain and couldn't resist the shorts which are so perfect for the holiday. The shorts are actually swim shorts so he can still wear them after the holiday. We had such a good time walking around, going to the petting zoo, watching the Turkey stampede, riding the rides and my favorite part was eating all the junk food. My favorite place was the Lobster Shack. It was so delicious and I'm so glad I found it. We were literally walking around the fair to find it since I missed out last year. If you are in San Diego in the summer, you should definitely check out the fair.  It's definitely a fun place for all ages especially the fried food. It is so bad for you, but yet so good. I believe living life in moderation. A little fried food can't hurt. Right? Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Style Challenge

PINEAPPLE BAG: Francescas exact one here // Pineapple top & shoes c/o Rad.co// Shorts Mossimo (old) similar here and here

I've been wanting to share with you one of my passions which is hosting and participating in style challenges.  If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I'm a big fanatic of them. I actually started my Instagram account doing style challenge because they were so much fun. Okay, honestly I love participating in challenges in general and love the idea of winning. Although, I haven't won any style challenges that I participated in it. It is honesty so much fun. I love playing and connecting with other fashionistas that love and share the same passion as I do.

I rounded up 10 common questions that I find are useful if you are new to a style challenge or wondered how I get ideas or select a winner with my co host, Melissa @mixandmatchmel. Read on to go behind the scenes of the making of a style challenge! :)  If I didn't answer your question, feel free to comment below or shoot me an email and I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

Top 10 Questions of Style Challenges

1) What is a style challenge?
A style challenge is basically a challenge revolving around styling your clothing to a particular prompt. For example, I'm cohosting a style challenge this week that focuses on dresses, rompers, or jumpsuits. To participate in this challenge you would find anything in your closet that matches that description and style the way YOU want it to look.

2) How do you participate?
Participating is easy as 1, 2, 3. To participate in any style challenge all you have to do is follow the prompt. For Instagram, most style challenges are followed up a hashtag so that other followers and participants can see how others style a certain look. Also, it makes it easier for the hosts to see who are participating especially help us in determining the winner of our prizes.

3) Why do you participate in a style challenge?
First and foremost they are so much fun! It also helps me get dress for the day and it helps me figure out what to post on my Instagram page or blog post. It is also an EXCELLENT way to network and meet other women who share the same interest for fashion.  More importantly, it helps me grow and expand as a stylist to see so many different looks and mixing prints, patterns and textures that I would never do on my own. In other words, it helps me push my boundaries which I love to do!

4) How did you get involved in hosting style challenges?
I got involved in hosting when my beautiful and inspiring friend Melissa @mixandmatchmel asked me if I wanted to host a style challenge with her in January 2016. I'm so glad I said yes, because of hosting I've met so many supportive and fun fashionistas. I also got to meet Melissa who is such a beautiful friend inside and out and the most chill person you will ever meet. She also has a YouTube channel which is called Mix And Match Mel hat she just started. She has the most amazing make up  tutorials and tips and I love that they are super easy to follow.
She is also very budget friendly which is awesome for being a mom of two.  I will also be featuring Melissa on my page so stay tuned.

5) How do you get inspiration for your style challenges?
Melissa and I always try to look at what is trending for a particular season.  We also like to give people choices and the freedom to wear what they like.  We also get inspiration from our fellow cohosts each month. We strongly believe in collaboration and that really helps it bringing in fresh ideas and material to make our challenges fun and exciting to follow. We also like to gain inspiration from TV, magazines, and everyday life.

6) How often do you host your style challenges?
Melissa and I try to host a style challenge every other month, but sometimes due to popular demand we will host a challenge back to back. We are planning to take a break this summer and will not be hosting until Fall. We would like to take a break to be able to spend time with our family in the summer, since hosting requires a lot of work. We try to like and comment as much as we can on your outfits.

7) How do you select your winner for each style challenge?
Our selection of the winner is very easy. First and foremost, you need to be following all hosts to qualify to win. Then we look at how often you participate and if you are following the prompt. It is as easy as that. The amount of followers you have do not pertain to our selection of the winner. You can win with 10 followers or 10,000. We are really looking at content and how often you participate.

8) When do you release your posters for your style challenges?
We typically release our challenges on Friday so that everyone can start planning their outfits ahead of time. We send out reminders on Saturday and Sunday.

9) Where do you get your images from your posters?
Lately, we've been using our own pictures or pictures of hosts that are hosting with us. We also use photos on Pinterest for inspiration. I wish I can take credit for the beautiful posters but I can't. Melissa is amazing at creating the best posters for our challenges.

10) When is your next style challenge?
Tentatively we are schedule to hosts our challenge in August. Stay tuned on Instagram for more details.

Here is a sneak peek as promised of next week's challenge! We can't wait to have you participate. If you are new to our style challenge, just hashtag #thisorthatjune remix in your photo and you are automatically part of the challenge and group! If you are in it to win it, make sure to follow all hosts this month! Last, but not least have fun and go for it! Fashion is all about fun and experimenting! I dare you to push your boundary and get out of your comfort zone!

Summer is Here

This view was amazing. I can't get enough of it.

SWIMSUIT: Marimekko for Target // COVERUP: last season similar here and here and here //HAT: Nordstrom Rack (sold out) similar here and here // SUNGLASSES: Chanel (old) similar here and  here// SANDALS: Havaianas//PINEAPPLE FLOATY: Nordstrom // PINEAPPLE BEACH TOTE: Francesca's(sold out) exact one here
I wanted to share this fabulous bathing suit by Marimekko for Target that I wore during my birthday weekend in Palm Springs. I knew I had to pick it up when I saw it because it has a super fun whimsical print and a detachable black belt. It was also at a price that I love.  The best part is it is currently on SALE! I love when Target teams up with great designers that allow us to shop for designer items at a lower and manageable price point. My favorite part about this suit is the fit. It is perfect for moms because it sucks everything in and accentuates your figure in all the right places. Being a mom of two, I find it hard to find trendy bathing suits that are not "motherly" and still look great on our post baby body. It also hard for me to find bathing suits bottom that don't highlight my scar from C-section. I have a big keloid scar that I am very self conscious about and this suit hides it well with the big and bold pattern. They also make an exact kid version which makes it super fun to dress up exactly alike. I always love mommy and me outfits. Since I have boys, it's hard for me to find outfits that match, but when I can I always make sure to grabbed them. I think its adorable when I see mommy and me outfits.
I also linked some super cute one piece bathing suits that won't break the bank and that are flattering and trendy to wear. I love that the one piece is making a comeback. It definitely makes swim suit shopping more easy and fun. What are some bathing suit trends you are digging this season?

Here are some fun one pieces bathing suits from the Marimekko line that I love. Honestly, I want to buy every print especially the fun colorful one which is perfect for summer. Make sure to grab them now since they are only available for a limited time and are all on SALE!

I'm so excited to host my first giveaway on my blog with Bella Chic. Bella Chic is an amazing charitable company that hand makes all their jewelry. All items are handmade by local artisans in Colombia. The artisans help support their family through meaningful work. In addition to income for the artisans, a portion of the profits are donated to the artisans as well as various charities that support women. I love wearing jewelry that go towards a great cause.  All the items are made from fruit! They undergo a treatment process that makes them durable and long lasting as any other jewelry.  Some items (especially the orange peel) has the scent of the fruit! I love that their items are super versatile that can be worn during the day, at the beach, even out at night which is how I styled this necklace.

I wore the Tesoro del Amazonas necklace in rainbow that is handmade from tagua nuts. I chose this necklace because of the beautiful colors and I wanted to pair it over a simple black dress. This necklace is perfect for summer and I love that instantly adds a pop of color and dimension to my look. I decided to pair it with my favorite clutch and my black strappy sandals for an evening out with my husband. If you follow me on Snap Chat,  you saw that I wore it to a fun Mexican Cantina in Palm Springs while celebrating my birthday weekend and it was perfect for a night out. I love the sounds that the necklace makes when I was swaying to the sound of the live band that night. My husband also loved it which is always a bonus in my book since he is so picky on what he likes on me. Make sure to check out Bella Chic designs at www.mybellachic.com for more designs. Palm Springs (Part 2)

DRESS: Chicwish // SANDALS: Bettyville (soldout) similar here and here// WATCH: Michael Kors
CLUTCH: Pom Pom // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker c/o Ditto // EARRINGS: Francesca's (sold out) similar here and here

I wanted to share this gorgeous boho embroidered dress from ChicWish that I wore on my birthday in Palm Springs. I wanted a fun, comfy, and breathable dress to wear in the desert and this one was perfect. I love the embroidered details and the kimono inspired style look that is trending everywhere this season. I also love that the dress is lined which is usually a rare find. I’m wearing a cami inside for a more conservative look, but it also looks gorgeous without it. The lace up details of the dress is absolutely stunning. I’m wearing an XS and it does run true to size. I love pairing it with my Valentino inspired sandals or for a more dressier look, pair them with some nude heels or pumps. I decided to pair this look with my favorite pom pom clutch and my new sunglasses from Ditto which are the Karen Walker poolside sunglasses. I love this service which allows you to rent designer sunglasses for $24 a month and you can switch them out anytime for a new pair. If you are interested in trying this service (which I highly recommend) you can use my code STYLESREVEALED  at checkout at www.ditto.com to get your 1st month’s absolutely FREE. I’ve already traded three different designer sunglasses which included my favorite designer, Prada. I honestly love and want to keep them all.

It’s funny when we were looking for places to shoot this outfit and the Mikado restaurant was right in front of us. We actually had dinner here last year and it was my first experience with dining at a Hibachi grill. Hibachi is a great experience and I recommend that you try it at least once in your life. You choose from a menu of food and  the chefs cook everything in front of you.  While they are cooking, they are providing entertainment by doing tricks with their cooking gadgets and releasing fire which literally come out of nowhere. I was a bit weary of the knives trick and fire and honestly stood back a little.  They also launch food in your mouth which I certainly didn’t care for since it never made it inside my mouth. I was actually a little embarrassed since everyone seem to “catch” their food and I was the only one that didn’t. My husband reassured me that it happens to everyone, but I think he was only trying to make me feel better. Despite not catching the food, it was a fun experience and the food was great.
Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all the love and feedback I’ve been given about my blog especially from my Instagram family. I truly appreciate each and one of you. I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.
