Happy April! I can't believe spring break has already come and gone. The boys and I stayed at the Lakehouse Hotel & Resort in San Marcos for spring break. It was our first time there and we had such a wonderful experience. I didn't realize how much I loved being by the lake until staying at the resort. I'm recapping our stay there and sharing why we love it and can't wait to go back this summer. It's the perfect getaway for family vacation, couple retreat or a girls' trip for spring break and summer!

This marina view is breathtaking! This is literally right outside of our hotel room.

First and foremost is the location of the hotel. It located in San Marcos and the views in our are astounding. I definitely recommend upgrading to the premier lake view. It is seriously worth every penny. My favorite park every morning was waking up to seeing the lake view and marina. I also loved hearing the chirping of the birds.

One of our favorite parts of our stay was the sunset cruise which I highly recommend. The boys and I loved it. We all had so much fun and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. I loved the privacy of having it to ourselves as well as having a private captain.

In addition to being located on the beautiful lake in San Marcos, the resort is also walking distance to the golf course at St. Mark Club. We enjoyed dinner there and it was the perfect night to be outside and enjoying views of the golf course. The best part it is about a five minute walk from the resort to the golf course. The food was amazing at The Grill. I highly recommend the salmon. It seriously was the best.

Last but not least we really enjoyed the pool area and roasting smores at night. The pool was definitely a hit for the boys. The enjoyed swimming in the pool while I enjoyed some "me" time in the jacuzzi. It was definitely a spring break to remember. I love creating memories with my boys and we definitely recommend staying at this resort. From the customer service to the cleanliness, we were all really impressed and can't wait to create more memories here.
