End of Summer at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak

Happy Labor Day! I can't believe it's already September and the official end of summer. Although it still feels like summer here in Arizona and we will probably be in triple digits for another couple of months. I'm so lucky to be live near such beautiful resorts which makes me feel like I'm on vacation when I live only twenty minutes away. This is my ideal vacation especially when traveling with kids.  I wanted to share and recap our stay at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak which was the perfect summer staycation before the kids went back to school.

The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak is an all suite resort nestled near downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale. The River Ranch Water Park is the best part of the resort which is more than four acres. It is a family-friendly water park that has a lazy river, sports pool, water slide, cascading waterfalls, pool side dining and an 18-hole minature putting course which is perfect for the kids. The park also has basketball and tennis courts.  It's definitely the perfect family vacation since there was so many fun things to do for my boys. My boys loved playing miniature golf and it had the cutest backdrop of the pool and the gorgeous mountain views.

The slide was definitely a favorite for us. We were definitely on Cloud 9 when we realized how much fun the slide was. It's definitely one of the best slides I've ever been on. I totally recommend trying it, even if you don't have kids. It's so much fun and so unexpected which makes it so much more exciting! I probably went on it way too many times. You only live once, right? So, why not?

 In addition to the golf and slide, the resort also offers so many different pools. My boys loved the pool with the volleyball net and basketball court. Since they love to stay active this was the perfect pool and resort for them. I personally loved the pool with the waterfall because it was absolutely beautiful. The waterfall is breathtaking and you definitely forget that you are in a desert, but you feel like you are in some tropical place like Hawaii.

 Speaking of relaxing, I highly recommend the Tocasierra Spa. Not only was I greeted with champagne after the massage, but the sugar scrub treatment was so amazing and relaxing. The massage afterwards was just icing on the cake. I definitely recommend booking a spa treatment here to unwind after a full day at the pool. Trust me, you will thank me later.

Not only was there a plethora activities to do, but the service and hospitality was incredible. I couldn't ask for a perfect stay. We also dined at the "Hole in the Wall". If you are looking for some good southern bbq, I highly recommend hitting up this place. The ribs and brisket was delicious and one of the best bbq foods that I've had in awhile. I totally want to go back to the hotel just for the food.
This vacation was just what we needed and I'm so excited that the kids had such a great time. If you are local or in the Phoenix area, I totally recommend this hotel which makes vacation easy, fun, and affordable.
